Why I Love My Job.

I love working with my clients from initial phone call to closing - and even beyond! I like to understand my clients short and long term goals and find the best product for them to achieve financial wellness and leverage their debt effectively. This is important, because I don’t want my clients feeling like they can’t get a hold of me or feel like just another number.

The best part about this job is that my service is great, but my rates are low too because I have removed sales managers, CEOs, telemarketers, processors, marketing, human resources, and other costly overhead from my company, which the client pays for at the end of the day. Instead of keeping that overhead to myself, I decide to run a more efficient model to keep cost low for everybody!

 

About me.

I grew up in Sterling Heights, Michigan surrounded by my large family and Chaldean community. I am closest with my sister Shanel and parents Johnny and Holly. My sister and I are the first family members born in the United States. I married my husband Christopher in October of 2018 and we have chosen to work together as a team. We recently welcomed our son Nolan to the world in August of 2020. Life has been a great adventure so far!

How I fell into mortgages.

I have worked since I was a teenager at Somerset mall at various stores and took advantage of an opportunity to be a mortgage processor in 2016 through a family connection. Since then, I have closed thousands of files from start to finish focusing on the behind the scenes work (appraisals, tilework, home insurance, and loan conditions) for over five years. Once I understood the whole process the only missing piece was sales. I emphasize kindness and understanding in everything I do — so working with others to achieve a common goal of closing their purchase and refinance transactions comes naturally. I was able to close my first three transactions in consecutive days in June of 2021. At this point I knew I was capable of success and am so excited to grow!

Why I do what I do.

I have been challenged with maintaining a work-life balance, while making sure our clients are the top priority. I want our clients to feel like their loan is the only loan in our pipeline. This is the reason I decided to start my own company, I focus 100% on my client’s mortgage experience. Sometimes less really is more, I would rather do fewer transactions with higher quality versus overwhelming volume and doing a sub-par job. This is exactly why I came up with Iris Mortgage LLC - a low cost, client focused mortgage experience!

So here I am, a 29 year old CEO of my very own mortgage brokerage and so excited to share my knowledge, passion, and work ethic with all of my clients, realtors, and third parties services I encounter. Even though I do not have the budget of the big mortgage companies, I have less overhead, which yields lower rates and cost to my clients compared to the competition.
