The Dad Guide to the Detroit Red Wings 2024-2025 Season
The eight games that start before bedtime and more.
I always promise to take my son to at least one Red Wings, Lions, and Tigers game each year. It is always a great time and if planned right, will not rock the nap or bed time schedule. You might also get some brownie points for getting out of the house for your partner to enjoy some quiet time (just don’t bring them back too fired up on sugar). Before anybody gets mad - this can apply to any dad, mom, step-parent, aunt, uncle, guardian, parent, grandparent. I am a dad. I write from my personal experience and you are welcome to make your own adaptations!
The key games to circle, tickets, and promotions.
Most games start at 7:00 pm or later. That is pretty much in the bedtime winged-wheel house we want to avoid - so here are the eight games to circle. I also added the promotional schedule if you want something to take away for your little ones. Doors to Little Caesars Arena generally open 1.5 hours prior to start time for Red Wings – check event details for more information.

Parking.
Here is the official parking below, which I never use. In the past I park free and walk from John R and Brush Street area a few blocks east of the arena. You could also park a little bit down Woodward and hit the Q-line for a fun right with your buddy.
The bag policy.
The Little Caesars Arena bag policy allows soft-sided bags and briefcases smaller than 14” x 14” by 6”. Diaper bags and medical bags are permitted as well. Hard-sided bags of any kind are prohibited. All persons and bags exiting or entering the arena are subject to inspection. You will go through security gates and empty you pockets entering the arena and they may poke through the bags.
Award winning accessibility.
Little Caesars Arena was named KultureCity’s 2021 Sensory Inclusive Venue of the Year. It is a multi-purpose arena home to the Detroit Pistons and Red Wings. And host tours for some of the biggest names in music.
Other items to consider.
Bring ear protection for your little, it is an extremely loud and stimulating arena. The video board and speakers are no joke if they are sensitive to noise.
Ride Sandy the Pony. Look at all the display cases, walk around the arena.
All events hosted at Little Caesars Arena are sensory inclusive, and promote an accommodating and positive experience for guests and fans with sensory needs. Sensory sensitivities or challenges with sensory regulation are often experienced by individuals with autism, dementia, PTSD and other similar conditions.
